Stuart N. Thomas, M.D.
Dr. Thomas grew up in Arlington, graduating from Lamar High School and attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended the University of Texas at Austin on National Merit and Welch Scholarships, graduating Magna et Ampla Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry. He completed his MD degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. While there, he was co-investigator in exercise physiology research at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
He completed a General Surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. During his residency, he was co-investigator on research into laser-tissue interactions in vascular malformations.
In 1994, he joined his father in practice at Otolaryngology Associates of Arlington, later renamed Central Park Ear Nose and Throat (which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016). Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Thomas has been named a “Fort Worth, Texas” magazine Top Doctor nine times since 2003. A member of the Arlington Rotary Club and supporter of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Fort Worth Sister Cities, he has two sons in college and enjoys cycling, hiking, is an avid news junkie and collects books compulsively.
